FARMWORKERS ON THE
FRONTLINES OF CLIMATE CRISIS

Untitled design (43).png

Whether it's wildfires, smoke, storms, floods, extreme heat – farmworkers are the first impacted by climate-change fueled disasters. And yet the multi-billion dollar wine industry continues making profits year after year. In the past two years, farmworkers haven taken the bold step to organize for safety and respect. We've won historic victories, and workers have the momentum. Climate justice here in Sonoma County means backing up farmworkers in their fight to win DISASTER PAY – compensation for lost hours and hazard pay when working conditions are dangerous.

JOIN THE GROWING MOVEMENT IN SUPPORT!

Led by the bravery and strength of the workers, North Bay Jobs with Justice has been able to make historic progress in the past two years, including guaranteed HAZARD PAY at Gallo Sonoma and Eco Terreno when the air quality is unhealthy (above 150 AQI). Addressing the risks that our communities face will take all of us working together. Join the growing movement within the wine and agriculture community standing in solidarity with farmworkers and supporting HAZARD PAY.

And don't forget to donate to Undocufund to make sure that undocumented workers and families have support when they are impacted by lost wages during wildfires.
